In the spirit of giving, we at EYEMAGINE gave a half-day to volunteer for Operation Christmas Child!
Last week, we packed and processed hundreds of shoe box gifts, preparing them for a smooth journey to their destinations overseas. Doing our part to reach the six million plus boxes goal for Samaritan’s Purse, we sorted, inspected, taped, packed, scanned, and shipped shoebox after shoebox. If it sounds like a bit of hard work, it was, but who ever said volunteering was easy?
We have a few pictures showing the whole process come together, from receiving the donated boxes to shipment. It’s pretty cool once you realize how many people came together to volunteer for the same thing:
If you ever feel like donating or giving, some of the cool things you can fit into a shoebox for gifts are:
- Small toys
- Soap
- Toothpaste
- Towels
- Writing supplies and pads
- School supplies
- Small candies
- Anything kids will love!
